Here’s where to find some of the best gear out there that doesn’t make it into reviews
Because we’ve been wearing it all the time this past month
Anything from running to hanging out to livin’ the good life
We get a lot of gear to review here at Believe in the Run. Sometimes we get a whole seasonal collection to review, but more often than not, we get a bunch of items meant for different purposes. Some nutrition here, a couple hats there, tack on some casual pants and maybe some socks.
If you’re like us, you probably don’t want to read a review about just one pair of socks, or a backpack, or whatever. But if we’re using something all the time– if it’s become part of our running life– we want you to know. That’s where this monthly roundup comes in.
Each month, we give you a list of items that we really, truly love. Everything on this list is something we keep coming back to again and again. Maybe it’s the fit, maybe it’s the performance, maybe it’s just something we can’t explain. But at the end of the day, we love it, and we hope you do too.
Of course, we’re always looking for new gear to fall in love with, so if you have any recommendations yourself, please leave them in the comments below.

I’ve been using protein powders since I started running, testing my way through both vegan and whey options. What sets RNWY apart is its formula—it’s designed for maximum absorption. Lysine, a crucial amino acid for processing vegan protein, is in the mix, along with eight others. Now that I’ve added weightlifting to my routine, protein has become even more essential for recovery. RNWY goes a step further by including creatine, a bonus for strength training. It’s also third-party tested, which gives me confidence in its quality. Meghann Featherstun stands behind it, and from my experience, it works.

This isn’t a new and exciting product, but it’s a shirt that I consistently get complimented and asked about. This was gifted to me from the Adidas team during a trip in Austin last December and I’ve been wearing it on the regular ever since. Turns out, it’s not even a running shirt, but a golf shirt. And I finally tracked it down (on Amazon, on sale). So, I wanted to share it with all of you. It’s a comfortable, somewhat-fitted, but not overly snug, long-sleeve that looks good running and post-run. And for $35, you should just get it.

A newcomer to the pack game, Kitworks is sure to make waves in the gear world thanks to its management system of totes and duffles paired with on-the-go dividers and packing cubes that make for limitless customization and organization. Perfect for ultrarunning events, camping, skiing, or anything else, these battle-proof totes are already a go-to solution for any adventure.

If you create content or just want to capture high-quality video, the Osmo Pocket 3 delivers more than its competition—all at a starting price of $519. I first came across it through Aubrey Mvula’s videos. The quality was so sharp, I assumed he was using a high-end camera. When he told me it was the Osmo Pocket 3, I was stunned. That was all the convincing I needed. I bought one nearly a year ago, and it has since become one of my favorite tools.

You can call me bias, but this is the best beanie I’ve ever owned. It’s comfortable. It fits every head size. It’s warm but not too warm. It’s BELIEVE branded. It’s what I put on my head for every cold dog walk and any time I have to be outside in the Baltimore winter.

All my worlds are coming together with this pant created in collaboration with legendary skateboarder Geoff Rowley. It’s a technical pant that looks great, fits perfect and has all the ruggedness and durability you want thanks to the Toray Warpknit Canvas. Another home run for Path Projects.

I’m a big fan of type 2 fun – you know, the stuff where you’re like “why am I doing this?” And then when you’re done, you kind of want to do it again. Well, most recently, I ice skated an ultramarathon (a 50k, to be exact) – not an organized or official one, just three friends skating laps that numbered above 600. And, when I did it, I was wearing this Hoka Essential Hoodie as my mid-layer. Yes, the entire time. It’s boxy, it’s warm, and I fit layers both on top of and beneath it, what more could you want?
Ryan’s Pick #2
I’ll stick with a theme this month. Although my Hoka Essential Hoodie covered the bulk of my body warmth, these Darn Tough socks kept my feet going just as strong. I didn’t wear them all day long – ice skates are too warm for my feet to breathe enough – but they covered me just fine for the first few sessions on the ice. I wouldn’t call the Pacer Micro a thick sock, but it’s definitely a warm one and cut just high enough to match my rental skates.

As the founder of Believe in the Run, Thomas’s goal is to help runners pick the shoes and gear that will make their running experience the best that it can be.
More from ThomasMeaghan signed up for her first marathon three weeks before the race, because it was $10 more than the half she planned to run. She learned everything in running the hard way. Now a USATF & UESCA certified run coach, she loves encouraging friends to go for big goals as she continues to chase faster times. She enjoys a hot cup of coffee, a cold martini, and making bagels for friends and family.

More from RobbeRyan is kind of like Robbe’s Igor behind the scenes. He helps to compile and clean up everyone’s reviews, and finds time to get in a few miles of his own. When he’s not running or editing, Ryan writes and reviews for Android Authority, spending time with the latest tech and complaining when things don’t work quite right. If he’s not doing any of that, maybe you’ll find him nose-deep in a crossword puzzle or trying to catch up on an endless backlog of shows to stream.
