Mothers, they really are god-tier women doing god-tier things to keep this world from falling apart. Some of them even manage to run and race while keeping it all together. It goes without saying that they deserve to be celebrated 365 days a year, but since there is a certain day that we collectively set aside for them, well – I guess we should go all-in on it.
We’re not saying you have to buy your mother (or wife) a present, but we’re saying it probably doesn’t hurt. A card can only go so far, and it’s usually not as far as a pair of daily trainers or a Thule Urban Glide 3. So we asked our team of women reviewers here at Believe in the Run to give us their favorite running gear and accessories. If there’s a gold standard for running strollers, it’s this one. An all-terrain jogging stroller with air-filled tires and a superior suspension, this thing is ready for all your running adventures. I’ve used the Urban Glide 2 for the past two years since I became a mother, and I don’t know where I’d be without it.

Years ago, I bought those cheap $20 Amazon ‘cloud’ slides. They worked… until they shrunk in the sun (yes, that actually happened) and fell apart way too fast. Lightweight soft flask, great for travel, collapses down as you drink, handle doesn’t require you to hold onto it. Pro tip: take into sporting events or concerts and use it as a refillable water bottle. Also, as it starts to empty, blow air into it to help it hold shape.

Meaghan signed up for her first marathon three weeks before the race, because it was $10 more than the half she planned to run. She learned everything in running the hard way. Now a USATF & UESCA certified run coach, she loves encouraging friends to go for big goals as she continues to chase faster times. She enjoys a hot cup of coffee, a cold martini, and making bagels for friends and family.

East Coast raised and West Coast trained, Melissa is now retired from racing ultras but still holds a deep love for long miles and time on trail. She’s currently doing what she can to delay a hip replacement, at least until completing a full lap around the earth, which she expects to hit in 2026.
Based on the Southern California coast, she now enjoys slower, easier miles, stroller runs, and time in the gym focusing on strength training. (And still sneaks in some spicy running when she can)
