So, I love the Epic React and like the Pegasus. How does the Zoom X feel compared to the Epic React? I was a big time Boost fan but have fallen in love with the lower weight Epic React.

Honestly, I prefer the Epic React over the Turbo. Our follow up review will be up soon.

Ok, so follow up. I really didn’t like the Pegasus in the cold and I think that was because the foam gets hard. I could feel the zoom air packets. Completely different feel in the summer. Any suggestions for a similar shoe the performs in the winter? My fall back is the Adidas Solar Glide (old Supernova)

What’s wrong with the Epic React in the winter? I am liking the New Balance Beacon, but it might not be soft enough for your preference. The Salomon Sonic RA is good too.

          1. Steve Decker says:

I can’t say that anything is wrong with the React in the winter. I haven’t had them during a winter season. However, I’ve read that foam can be temperature sensitive but I didn’t really have that with the Supernova while I could tell a big difference in the Pegasus.

This is very interesting. I race in the 4%, love the Epic React for fast training (unless the surface is sandy), and need to replace my Hoka Napali for recovery/long easy runs. If I was to completely overhaul my collection, would you suggest: 4%, Epic React, normal Pegasus 35 (i.e. not buy the turbo)? I just assumed the Turbo would replace the Epic.

        1. Thomas Neuberger says:

Now that I have some miles in on the Turbo I will be writing a full review. I prefer the Epic React over the turbo.
