Our monthly dispatch of the best things brewing in run culture
The past month’s best running drops, collaborations, and special releases
Asics, Adidas, Satisfy, Balmoral, Circus, District Vision, Tracksmith, Salomon, Acid Running, PAS Normal, Alex Zono

The internet can be a brutal place, but it can also be wildly inspiring. I prefer to focus on the latter: the people who remind us what running is actually about. The joy. The freedom. The fact that, at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter if you’re wearing a $20 shirt or a $200 one.
Somehow, we’ve become weirdly orthodox about a sport built on movement, freedom, and personal rhythm. The best part about running in 2026 is that there’s room for all of it: slow or fast, minimal or flamboyant, technical or improvised. Some things are for you. Many things won’t be. That’s fine.
Here are our favorite releases from May.
Run quietly, wear a big shoe
Asics and Shanghai creative unit Blacktoes rework the Superblast 3 around the theme “Keep Running Quiet.” The shoe carries Blacktoes’ butterfly motif across the heel and heat-pressed wing panels, while the ASICS tiger-claw logo uses thermochromic ink that changes color as body heat rises during a run.
Keep it classy
Balmoral’s Summer 2026 collection extends the Montreal brand’s Canadian-made performance system across warm-weather apparel. The range includes the Stadium Crewneck, Harvest T-Shirt, Sports Club Shorts, Skyline 5-Panel Cap, and Oakwood race-day pieces, balancing lightweight construction with everyday utility.
We’re in love
Circus Running’s “Lovers Of The Sport” collection applies the British brand’s graphic language to tees, shorts, and accessories. The range sits within its Spring output, with stripped-back visuals and multi-disciplinary pieces built around running as practice, expression, and ritual.
Live and in-person
District Vision’s first-ever flagship is built as a retail and research space in the Arts District. Designed with SR Studio, the store features aluminum displays, hinoki wood furniture, vintage Japanese ceramics, and native California greenery. The space carries eyewear, apparel, accessories, collaborations, technical eyewear servicing, and a coffee bar.
Breaking four
Tracksmith revisits Roger Bannister’s AAA kit through a reworked Van Cortlandt singlet. The design carries a green, gold, and royal blue sash over Tracksmith’s diagonal stripe, with Eliot the Hare rendered in red as a nod to the wool lettering on Bannister’s original jersey. The capsule also includes select archival memorabilia.
The Circle Pit returns
Without a doubt, the most talked-about release of the month. Satisfy and Adidas bring the Adizero Adios Pro 4 into Satisfy’s earth-toned collaborations. The race shoe comes in Army Green, Earth Brown, and Core Black, with a really interesting color placement that shifts across the upper from different angles. Event opinions aside, the shoe looks great, making it another successful drop for the brands.
Cocodona, the stylish way
Salomon’s Dawn to Dusk collection translates Courtney Dauwalter’s ultra-trail kit preferences into a full range of footwear, apparel, and accessories. The collection uses mountain-light color references across loose-fitting silhouettes, selected with Dauwalter’s input and extending to the Sense Pro 6 vest.
Just dance
I never thought I would be writing about an actual album, music made by a running brand, even crazier, made by the creator himself. “Dance Like a Runner” is a collection of tracks by Alex Zono, inspired by his clothing collection of the same name and built for listening while running. Tracks like “Running Fast,” “Let’s go for a run,” and the title track are great bangers for the summer workouts. Did we mention you can stream and buy the album on vinyl through his record label? This is cool.
Sweet shades
District Vision and PAF apply a fashion-led frame language to performance eyewear. The made-in-Japan Koharu Eclipse features a six-base blade frame, custom ventilated lenses, adjustable nose pads and temple tips, a grade 2 titanium core, and shatterproof D+ polycarbonate lenses with anti-reflective and oleophobic coatings. It comes in Sand, Deep Sea, and Lichen.
A great drop
Acid Running’s Summer 2026 collection expands the London brand’s luxury performance language through recycled and natural fabrics, graphic treatments, and dedicated women’s silhouettes. The range continues the brand’s focus on running as routine, discipline, and personal practice rather than polished athletic imagery.
It’s gravelin’ time
Pas Normal Studios and Salomon introduce the GRVL Concept in their new collaboration. The silhouette uses a PEBA-based supercritical foam midsole, dual full-length carbon blades, a shallow 1.5mm lug outsole informed by gravel tire geometry, an integrated knitted gaiter, and Salomon’s Quicklace system. The project also includes a co-branded Race Skin 2 vest with front hydration and rear storage. And new designs of tops, shorts, and cycling apparel.
