A technical, waterproof reinterpretation of the Hoka Stinson EVO, created in collaboration with Canadian apparel brand Haven

$254, October 17 via Haven, October 2 global release

Hoka x Haven
Founded in 2006, Haven has built a reputation around technical precision. The Vancouver-based label evolved from a retail background into a full-scale apparel brand renowned for its understated, functional design language and commitment to innovation.
The brand leans into restraint, obsessing over weatherproofing, construction, and materials meant to endure rather than impress. Now, that philosophy extends to footwear through its first collaboration with Hoka, reimagining the Stinson EVO as a waterproof, Gore-Tex-equipped silhouette tailored for movement across environments.

The Stinson EVO GTX may look like a standard Hoka at first glance, but Haven’s intervention demanded a ground-up reconstruction. Introducing a Gore-Tex Invisible Fit membrane (its first appearance in this model) required the shoe’s upper to be deconstructed and re-engineered to preserve Hoka’s cushioning and fit standards. The result is a subdued yet deeply considered form: ripstop textile layered with suede and nubuck, tonal bonded overlays, and Haven’s signature Tarmac colorway.
Hexagon detailing links back to Haven’s in-house branding, but the logo work remains minimal. Even the fit had to be adjusted to accommodate the new membrane, highlighting just how intensive the material change really was.

“We never design shoes that are the focus of what you’re wearing,” said Haven cofounder Arthur Chmielewski. That ethos—the desire to create gear that functions so seamlessly it disappears—has been central to Haven’s appeal since the beginning. Over time, the brand has evolved from a retailer of niche Japanese labels into a fully formed technical apparel company. This Hoka partnership reinforces that shift, marking Haven’s expansion into footwear with a design that doesn’t seek cultural capital so much as functional longevity.

The Haven x Hoka Stinson EVO GTX releases on October 17 via Haven’s direct channels, followed by a global launch on October 24 through Hoka and select partners. The retail price is set to $254.
