Retro inspiration, accessorizing with Emma, adventure upgrades

We’re not sponsored by Coros (nor is this post), but we may as well be– everyone in the office wears their watches, from the Coros Pace 3 to the Coros Apex 2 Pro. Even our head trail guy gets in on the action, going with the rugged Vertix 2 when getting out in the wilds of Colorado. They’re reliable, easy to use, quick to sync, and feature extra long battery life. What more could you want?
They’re also constantly releasing new updates and improvements to their software, which in turn gives users access to new features. It’s almost like getting a new watch every few months.
And then there’s the special edition watches or collabs with their favorite athletes, stars like Eliud Kipchoge, Emma Bates, or Kilian Jornet.
Just in time for summer, Coros is releasing a few key upgrades to its offerings, including a colorful retro pack, so let’s get into them.
Everyone knows the present and future both suck, but the past is kinda cool, especially the peak mall-era and MTV vibes of the ‘80s. Coros is leaning into all of that with three retro colorways of the Pace 3: Emerald, Mist, and Violet.
To be honest, a lot of running watches look lame, so it’s nice to see something with a little bit of flair. Of course, you get all the sports performance of the PACE 3, but you also get a limited-edition design around the bezel and accent colors on the crown dial and back button.
The Coros Pace 3 Retro Pack watches retail for $229 USD and are available now at coros.com.
In addition to the Pace 3 Retro Pack, Coros is also releasing a new nylon band inspired by Emma Bates. The band features Emma’s favorite color (teal) and is inscribed with her persona mantra: “Run Hard. Have Fun.” To read more about Emma’s story, check out the COROS blog.
The Emma band is available as an accessory option for the Coros Pace 3 and is available at coros.com.
The Vertix 2S builds on the brand’s flagship watch, offering incredibly long battery life, exceptional GPS accuracy, and durability, among many other features. This version gets a hardware upgrade which– according to Coros– includes their most accurate wrist-based heart rate sensor, 118 hours of continuous GPS battery with 48 days of daily use, and new software that gives Coros users unmatched GPS accuracy for outdoor climbing.
The new Vertix 2S Earth, Moon, and Space editions celebrate humankind’s never-ending spirit of adventure in the most challenging environments. Each style features a stunning new watch face design depicting its name, and in a first for Vertix series watches, both the rugged silicone and lightweight nylon bands in matching colors are included in the box.
The Coros Vertix 2s retails for $699 and is available now at coros.com.
