Global Running Day is coming up, so what better time to race? Under Armour thought about bringing the entire global running community to Baltimore for the day but decided running anywhere is more fun. After all, the best way to grow the sport is to have tons of runners out on the same day spreading the gospel of sweat and miles — at least if you ask us. If you wanna get in on this celebration of running, all you have to do is go all out. Here’s what you need to know for the Under Armour All Out Mile.
Before we get to anything else, let’s start with the fact that this is a free virtual race. It costs no money, and you don’t have to wake up to get to the course on time, so there’s no excuse not to give it a shot. You have five days — June 1 to June 5 — to rack up your fastest single mile. That’s right, you just have to run one fast mile. There’s no limit to how many times you try, but only your top effort counts.

You can race the Under Armour All Out Mile on your own if you want to, but everything is better with friends. We’ve teamed up with some of our local running crews to craft one super team: Bmore United Riot Squad Running. Yeah, it’s a mouthful, but so are we. Anyway, if you wanna show off that you’re faster than Robbe and Thomas, join our team!
Even though none of us are bound to win the global competition, we’ve got some pretty sweet prizes for the team’s top Under Armour All Out Mile participants. The winning male/female will get a full UA kit with a top, bottom, and shoes, while second place receives a pair of shoes and a duffle bag. Third place takes home a pair of shoes, while fourth and fifth get a $50 and $20 UA gift card, respectively. Not bad for a mile of effort, right?
If you manage to make the podium for your respective region, the prizes get even better. First place for both men and women takes home $1,000 cash with $250 in UA gear, second place nabs $500 with $250 in gear, and third place lands $250 with $250 in gear.
Anyway, here’s a quick recap of how to sign up for the Under Armour All Out Mile:
I know we’ll be running our fastest. Will we see you on the starting line?
