Soar’s new short film, No Boundaries
To remind us that we can run anywhere
Directed by Paul Calver, starring David Hedges and Ty Brockley

We’re suckers for good running films — it doesn’t really matter the type. They can be long, short, high-budget, indie, whatever. We’re probably going to find the time to watch them. Heck, it might even be better if they’re short, because then we can watch them more and more.
Tracksmith is an expert in this. It’s made some of everything, sometimes to launch a product, or in the case of Church of the Long Run, simply to remind us of the bliss of blustery, solo miles. So, when we saw that Soar had published its No Boundaries short film, you can bet we queued it up.
There’s… honestly not much to explain about No Boundaries, which is great. There’s no dialogue and no character names to remember, just two athletes running through streets and trails and beautiful scenes to remind us why we run — because we can do it anywhere. On a more serious note, though, the short is directed by Paul Calver, who has done work for everyone from Arsenal FC to Under Armour to Scotty Hawker, so he has a pretty good grasp of motion.

As for the runners themselves, No Boundaries stars David Hedges, a Soar athlete who’s captured (and re-captured) FKTs on everything from Nolan’s 14 to the WURL. He’s mostly depicted tackling trails that our Dirt Division would drool over, while Ty Brockley, a professional athlete who specializes in the 1500m, tackles roads, bridges, and everything a little more urban.
At this point, though, you’ve spent more time reading about No Boundaries than it would take to watch the short film, so hurry up with this and press the Play button down below.
