Fall/winter 2024 collection from the Swedish running brand
Deviate Nitro 3, T7 Half-Zip Track Jacket
$65 to $170
Puma and The Brooklyn Circus (BKc) have teamed up for a new collection that pays tribute to New York City’s vibrant Caribbean-American communities and their influence on hip-hop and reggae. This collaboration celebrates the colorful music and style that the Caribbean diaspora brought to NYC, becoming an essential part of the city’s cultural fabric. It’s a tribute to the communities that made waves in music and fashion, from the streets of Kingston to the boroughs of New York.
With running being a core element of Puma’s identity, it’s no surprise that one of the standout pieces in the collection is a revamped version of the Deviate Nitro 3. This bouncy, everyday trainer is already one of Puma’s most impressive shoes of 2024, and honestly, it’s already quite the head-turner. Now, The Brooklyn Circus has brought its signature touch, incorporating a rich chocolate brown palette mixed with sunshine-dipped orange and pink accents, capturing the spirit of the collection.
The creative direction for the collection comes from Ouigi Theodore, founder of The Brooklyn Circus. Known for his trend-setting vision, Theodore blends high-quality craftsmanship with the vibrant aesthetics of dancehall, reggae, and NYC street style. His work frequently pays homage to his Haitian roots and the broader Caribbean influence in New York. “Caribbean culture has always been the pulse of New York’s cultural heartbeat,” Theodore states.
Other pieces in the collection dive into hip-hop territory, such as the retro-inspired knitted V-neck sweater and the T7 half-zip track jacket—all embodying elements of vintage fashion infused with modern street style.
More than just a clothing line, the PUMA × The Brooklyn Circus collaboration is a celebration of cultural legacy. It’s a visual and emotional tribute to a rich history that helped shape NYC and continues to influence global culture.
The collection dropped on November 1, 2024, available on both brands’ websites, in select PUMA stores, and at BKc’s Brooklyn and SoHo locations.
