Summer moved swiftly and fall marathon season is upon us. The hype is building for those goal races, especially if you’re lining up at one of the three major marathons. The TCS New York City Marathon is quite possibly the most major of all, which means it’s important to level up your look for race weekend.
To make it a race to remember, New Balance has just released its 2024 TCS New York City Marathon collection, “inspired by the magic of the world’s largest marathon, blurring the lines between everyone who comes together on race day and fills the streets in celebration of running.” Sounds like someone ordered an extra large word salad, so we’ll shorten it for you: here’s some marathon gear to make you look cool and celebrate your accomplishment.
The collection is truly all-encompassing, with a number of apparel items that can be mixed and matched to give you a head-to-toe NYC fit. The whole thing is meant to provide gear for runners of all levels, “from first-time marathoners to elite racers and spectators.” This aligns perfectly with the New Balances Run Your Way campaign of the last year, which celebrates all runners, regardless of pace or distance. The goal is to validate running and help runners acknowledge their role in the broader running culture and the community.
Anyway, let’s get on to our favorite pieces of gear. There are over 50 pieces in the collection for both men and women, so if you want to check out the whole thing, you can do so at the links below.
