We’ve got a lot of favorite things here at Believe in the Run, and we’ll take any excuse we can get to put them all in the same place. It sounds like the fine folks at The Run Show USA have had the same idea, and they’re bringing the party to Chicago. You might already be thinking that such an expo is going to put a hurting on your wallet, but you’d be wrong. We’ve got your secret key to getting in for free. First, let’s see what you can expect from the event.
What is The Run Show USA: Chicago?
We’re runners, and we like to keep things simple. So does The Run Show USA — it’s really all in the name. It’s an in-person expo dedicated to just about all things running. Whether you’re a fast runner who goes far or a slow one just adding up some miles, you’ll find something up your alley.
Sure, we can tell you about shoes and gear in our reviews, but The Run Show USA: Chicago is a much better chance to meet up with the running community as a whole (maybe for the first time in two years). Besides, it offers a whole lot more than just a room full of gear. This year’s version of the show boasts a solid set of speakers, including Carl Lewis, Dean Karnazes, Sally McRae, and more. It might be your best chance at some running inspiration outside of our podcast, The Drop. And hey, you don’t have to listen to Robbe and Thomas ramble for 45 minutes first.
The Run Show USA: Chicago also has a whole host of special exhibits. There’s a Running Skills Theater, a Strength Training Zone (because cross-training does matter), and a Recovery Zone because we can all get a little better at that.
Alright, alright, if you’re just here to find out about gear, we’ll give you a taste. Sponsors of The Run Show USA include Altra, Hoka, ASICS, Runderwear, and even Fleet Feet. You’ll also see the latest from Coros, you can see what Athletic Brewing has on tap, and a lot more.
Personally, I’m pumped to talk to the folks at the American Trail Running Association — and then go right back to learning about gear.
When and where is the show?
If we don’t have your interest by now, go back and read through the sponsors and exhibitors again. Now, get ready to book your trip to the show. This year’s version of The Run Show: Chicago is taking place at the DES Convention Center. It’s located in Chicago — of course — and it’s all going down on June 4 and 5. The show hours run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, but let’s be real, you’ve gotta stay all day to see everything.
How do I get in for free?
For as much as The Run Show USA: Chicago has to offer, it feels a little bit like highway robbery to know what it’ll cost you. Normally, tickets cost $15 per person over the age of 16, but we can get you in for free. Depending on how many friends you’re headed to Chi-Town with, that might save you some good money. If nothin’ else, you can put it back towards a slice of deep-dish pizza.
All you have to do is hit the button below and use the code BELIEVE at checkout. There’s no limit to how many free tickets you can get, so bring grandma too — you know she wants to go.Book your ticket to The Run Show USA: Chicago
