Bandit Running
Winter is my favorite running season; you get to wear all the innovative gear at once, requiring a more thoughtful selection of gloves, merino, infinite midlayers, and most importantly– jackets. Windbreakers, rain gear, vests. This year, you will see everyone wearing Alpha Direct, or a version of it. November has brought a good number of collaborations; some brands nowadays are dropping new products every month. It’s hard to keep up, but here are our favorites.
Hybrid Swoosh
Fashion designer Melitta Baumeister partnered with Nike on a remix of the Vomero Premium, in the latest example of the trend of making shoes look like they have been through a lot. Using the orange Vomero base each pair is individually painted with black ink exaggerating seams and panels to shift attention toward construction details, other design elements infuse the shoe with creative messaging: printed eyes on the outsole, insoles stamped “Think / Outside,” a lenticular eye patch on the tongue with a hybrid MB–Swoosh logo, and the mantra “Run like no one is watching” emblazoned on the laces. A good experiment on what might be coming.
Relive The Memories
Tracksmith has taken its long‑running hand‑stamped finisher poster concept and expanded it into an online “Marathon Posters Archive,” letting runners order posters for multiple majors and select race year and finish time for custom stamping. Tracksmith posters have become iconic mementos of major races where the brand has been and collectibles for runners all over the world. Previously available only at the races, this archive is now available for the first time and includes some designs from 2017.
Run Crew
Newcomer brand Atwill has launched their inaugural collection. The man behind it, Richard Vincent, describes the brand philosophy as “90s prep meets modern performance”; we see J.Crew vibes but for running. The Ellis Tee nods to vintage rugby shirts while offering a silky-soft feel. The East End Shorts reinterpret boardshorts, and the Ramble Long Sleeve style is directly inspired by a vintage sweater, with a double-layer 3D knit and a super-useful front pocket. Atwill has taken its first steps, and we would like to follow an interesting concept.
Mental Floss
ROA, known for cutting-edge outdoor gear, teamed with running platform Mental Athletic on a capsule called “Unit Torrent.” The collaboration represents Mental Athletic’s continued expansion into performance gear after previous partnerships with Salomon and other trail-focused brands. The standout piece is the Hue Packable Wind Jacket, featuring extremely lightweight, transparent micro-ripstop nylon with laser-cut details, a close-fitting design for running, and co-branded logos from both ROA and Mental Athletic.
Pro Arctica
Bandit Running unveiled its Winter ’25 Collection, touted as their “largest and most innovative to date”– 111 pieces, including 55 entirely new silhouettes and seven new fabric platforms. Among the most significant innovations are the new Superwarm and Arctica fabric systems, which combine to create what Bandit calls their warmest products ever. The collection introduces practical details like reusable hand warmers that tuck into internal pockets on long sleeves, activating with a simple pinch and resetting in approximately 60 seconds in a microwave.
Elite System
London-based brand UVU stepped into a “new era” with the debut of its UVU ELITE collection. Known for blending streetwear flair with athletic gear, UVU dialed up the performance focus for ELITE. The lineup introduced three key pieces: an Elite Race Vest, Elite Half Tight, and Elite Running Sock. The Race Vest is made from an Italian mesh fabric, with bonded seams to minimize chafing. The Elite Half Tights (5-inch length for men, 3-inch for women) use a new, in-house-developed compressive textile that provides muscular support with high elasticity.
Off The Map
Hermanos Koumori, the Mexico City-based running brand, released its Winter 2025 collection featuring a blend of OFF-ROUTE lifestyle pieces and technical running essentials. The collection, titled “Dynamism in Motion,” brings many of Koumori’s pieces into a new palette of muted greens and soft purple. The collection also introduces new items, including a technical tote bag, a half-zip overlayer, and a water-repellent technical jacket.
Metal Mania
From the very beginning, Schism has been the brand for the true hardcore metalhead. From the aesthetics to the name, it always reminds us of Tool. Well, they decided to go full on this and delivered a small drop of two singlets and two tees, with graphics that bring the H.R. Giger or Lateralus vibes to the table. Done in collaboration with 3D artist @artyomtogo, the CYBERNETICS capsule dives into a biomechanical world that looks pretty cool.
Thermal Imaging
Doxa’s latest AW25 drop introduces the first pieces from the new Thermal concept, focused on Technical Heat and Elemental Resilience for winter running. The release includes updated winter tights made from a heavier 4-way stretch fabric with a brushed interior for increased warmth. Complementing the apparel are ADDon accessories designed for running, cycling, and outdoor training, including Polar Tech winter gloves suited for cold conditions and a balaclava that offers full coverage and protection against wind and ice.
Message Received
Underground ultra-running event The Speed Project (TSP) rolled out “The Message”, a limited-edition apparel capsule inspired by the extremes of Chile’s Atacama Desert. Available only during the race. The Message capsule includes functional running apparel and quirky collectibles. One standout piece is the ATA25 Dress Shirt, a whimsical inclusion that was actually part of the race director’s uniform – a classic white button-down but made from quick-dry, UPF-protective fabric and printed with subtle race coordinates.
