Norda x Soar Trail Collection
Winter Anorak, Cargo Tight, WoolTech Top, plus three more pieces
Available now at nordarun.com, $50 to $440 USD
Norda has been known for its collabs with like minded brands, especially in the case of its flagship shoe (the 001), which has seen takes by Ciele, Satisfy Running, and Zegna. And while they’ve briefly dabbled in the apparel game with Reigning Champ, they had yet to really put out a true performance set of run gear. Until now.
Teaming up with United Kingdom-based Soar, the brands have released an all-new trail performance collection for fall 2024, a seven-piece drop that includes a unisex winter anorak, men’s and women’s run tights, and a merino silk beanie. Thet set is inspired by “komorebi,” the Japanese term for “sunlight leaking through trees,” which is also something every trail runner does at some point during a weekend long run or ultramarathon.
If you know us, you know how much we love Norda footwear; personally speaking, the 001 may be my favorite shoe of all time, road or trail. It’s a shoe that works for anything, from road to trail to general street wear. The quality and durability is second to none, meaning you are getting the best return on your investment. In the same respect, Soar goes deep into the materials and manufacturing of their run apparel, always investing in the most cutting edge technologies and employing them throughout their range of goods. Translation: you know you’re getting something special when you combine the two.
The select pieces in this collection reflect the intersection of both brands. The winter anorak is Cut in a four-panel tailored fit with fully taped seams, thumb loops, and a tight fitting hood to keep bad weather at bay, and utilizes SOAR’s proprietary Italian-made STORM fabric resulting in a weatherproof stretch fabric with a brushed inner face for comfort over long deep winter runs.
On the functionality side, the run tights feature a multi-compartment waist pocket, as well as a large stuff pocket, a garment tube, and a zipped valuables pocket.
Both materials and design highlights apply to the rest of the collection as well, including the merino wool in the long sleeve top and the laser-cut ventilation in the long run shorts.
The entire collection is available now on nordarun.com or soarrunning.com with prices ranging from $50 to $440 USD.
