It’s Time for a Tougher Duffel

Have you ever looked at your trusty duffel bag and thought, “Man, I wish this were built tougher?” Or, maybe you’ve looked at your pair of Norda 001 (or 002) trail shoes and thought, “Man, I wish I could carry my clothes, running shoes, and more in a bag made of this material.” Well, either way, we have some news for you.

Norda, makers of three nearly bulletproof Dyneema trail running shoes, is finally expanding into a new vertical and launching its first piece of trail-ready equipment, a duffel bag dubbed the Toolbox.

We’ll readily admit that we don’t have all the details on the Toolbox just yet (we just have to wait a few more days), but in true Norda fashion, it’s built as tough as can be. The Toolbox uses a full Bio-Dyneema construction and comes with padded backpack straps to carry your trail gear in comfort. Like any duffel worth its salt, the Toolbox is packed with pockets (or so we’ve heard) and is sized to be able to transition between backpack and duffel mode with minimal effort.

Norda also includes one of its trusty Bio-Dyneema dry bags with each Toolbox, which is even more good news if your iPhone isn’t waterproof or if you still carry a paper map around.

Right now, that’s about all we know about Norda’s Toolbox, but the Montreal-based brand has teased a full release coming up on June 18, so you won’t have to wait long for the chance to part with some of your hard-earned cash in exchange for what sounds like the toughest duffel bag ever made (our words, not Norda’s, but it’s probably true).
