OLIVERS Apparel contacted me and sent a pair of shorts and a shirt to review. While the items appear generic, they are not, the fit and feel of the gear is top quality. The best part is they are guaranteed for one year and is handcrafted in the USA, Los Angeles, California to be exact.
The Breakaway short fits me perfect. I prefer a fitted short with a shorter inseam. The Breakaway has a 5″ inseam, short enough to feel fast, but not so short you’d feel like you are exposing way too much thigh.
The material of the shorts is a stretchy Nylon Spandex and has sturdy feel that comes from the thickness of the fabric. The drawstring is functional and adds a distinctive design element. There are no outward facing logos on the garments. The zippered back pocket is functional and can fit at least a couple energy gels or keys and a credit card.
With regards to performance, the shorts felt fantastic in action. The only downside for me is the absence of a liner. I like mesh liners in my shorts, it helps minimize chafing on the goods. Without the liner, I had to throw on a pair of performance underwear with the shorts.

The story with the Terminal Tee is the slim but not too tight fit combined with a soft blend of Merino wool and Polyester. I put this shirt through the paces and it is the perfect weight for temps between 50º-70º F. Pairing the Breakaway short with the Terminal tee creates a kit that is flattering enough for casual wear but shines during the run.
