I recently received the women’s printed running tights from Janji and I’m a big, big fan. They’re designed in charcoal gray with a unique black pattern. The waistband is lined with a bright yellow, soft material that fits snugly, without causing any irritation. I put this pair to the ultimate test of 34 degrees and pouring rain for over an hour. I came home without any sign of chaffing around the waist (super rare, huge win!). The tights are 12% elastic, 88% polyester so there is definitely some give through the legs and waist. (I received an XS and they fit perfectly). They’re comfortably snug down to ankles, where they’ve fastened yellow zippers for added comfort and ease of use. Not only are they super comfy, but they’re much more fun than your basic black tights.
These guys need some loosening up. I put them on as soon as they arrived and they felt like itchy cardboard. I also had a quality issue with my first pair, which happened after the first couple of runs. The material just seemed to pull apart. I notified the Janji team about it who promptly sent me a new pair. As imagined, there were no issues with the second pair. Finally, they’re a little long for me – keep in mind I’m 5’3” (almost 5’4”!) so not everyone will have this problem.
I’ve said this many times before, but I will reiterate it here. Janji is a great brand, making great clothing, for a great cause. They’re not only passionate about giving back, but also passionate about designing quality running apparel. The women’s printed running tights will definitely get some good use this winter! At $74, they are competitively priced, but it’s comforting to know that a portion of the proceeds go to those in need.
