Intro

We’d like to take a moment to welcome the sun back into our lives. It’s not only light past 5 pm, but it’s also warm out — a win-win if you ask us. Of course, that win-win means it might be time to put away some of our running tights and beanies for a while, at least in the northern hemisphere. If you fall into the same category, it might be time for a shopping spree at Running Warehouse.

There’s a little bit of everything going on this week, including some options for both roads and trails. Some shoes, some not-shoes, but all of it is available at Running Warehouse. No matter what we end up choosing, there’s always something to pick up. Our goal is to provide a few new selections each week, so check back real soon if you’re not into this week’s options.

If we’ve reviewed one of our picks, we’ll be sure to link it. If not… maybe just trust us? We’d be buying all of this gear ourselves if we had an unlimited budget.

NOTE: We earn affiliate revenue from Running Warehouse, so anything you buy helps us keep the lights on.

Precision Fuel Carb & Electrolyte Mix

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times, but hydration is next to godliness as the temperatures rise. You might not remember how much salt and moisture your body loses in the heat, but Precision Fuel knows. Its 15-serving pouch of carb and electrolyte mix packs a whopping 60 g of carbs and 1000 mg of sodium per liter, which sounds like a lot until you consider that’s actually two servings. Anyway, it’s at Running Warehouse in a citrus flavor, so give it a shot.

Men’s Saysky Combat Plus Short Tight

I know we just said it’s time to put our tights away, but we’ll make an exception for race day. Many of us here on the team prefer to race with that little bit of extra security down our thighs for, well, reasons, which is why we like the Combat Plus from Saysky. It’s a longer half-tight with a 9-inch inseam, but it packs enough pockets that you kinda feel like you have a full utility belt on for snacks and more.

PRICE: $93

Women’s Asics Gel Nimbus 26

While it’s fun to talk about racing shoes and carbon plates all day, the truth is that we do most of our miles in softer, slower trainers. One of those is the Asics Gel Nimbus, and we kinda can’t believe it’s on version 26. It’s a well-padded daily trainer for recovery miles and long runs, and it’s mostly thanks to Asics’ FlyteFoam Blast Plus Eco layer. Oh, and the AsicsGrip rubber underfoot means you shouldn’t slip or slide on wet surfaces.

PRICE: $159

Men’s Rabbit EZ Tee

We’ve shown Rabbit’s EZ fabric love a time or two, but who can blame us? It’s their soft polyester weave that works for everything from sweatpants to summer-ready t-shirts; it’s kind of like magic. Now we can show it even more love since it’s taken up a place on a striped shirt with raglan sleeves. As Spongebob said, the best time to wear a striped sweater (or t-shirt) is all the time.

PRICE: $50

Women’s The North Face Sunriser Short

What’s a spring-ready roundup without another pair of shorts? That’s what I thought. This time, we’re not after racing shorts, but rather an everyday pair from The North Face. The Sunriser short has a flexible 2.5-inch inseam that should be the right length all summer long, while the FlashDry fabric and internal brief liner should help to keep odors and moisture at bay. Oh, and if you’re not into purple, the shorts come in black, too.

PRICE: $55

Hoka Ora Recovery Slide

Although we’ve been pretty focused on racing and training, it’s not a bad idea to think about recovering when you’re done. That usually means taking off your running shoes and refusing to put on anything with laces for at least a couple of hours. So, can we recommend the ultimate laceless option, a recovery slide? Hoka’s Ora is pretty straightforward, with a full EVA construction and several different colorways to pick from. Oh, and you already know it has Hoka’s traditional stack height.

  3. To tell the truth, I would like to choose WOMEN’S PATAGONIA HOUDINI JACKET. The Houdini Women’s Hooded Jacket is an ultralight windbreaker for running, cycling, weekend hiking, light trekking and everyday use. The jacket is made of durable and lightweight ripstop nylon that provides wind protection. DWR water-repellent coating for added protection against moisture. The jacket can be worn over a base layer of clothing or lightweight insulations. The hood is easily adjustable with one hand by means of a retractable drawstring at the back of the hood. When secured, it fully retains peripheral vision. Sleeve cuffs with elastic insert. The bottom of the jacket is adjustable with an elastic cord with a lock. The back is rounded and slightly low, it covers the waist during bending over. One chest pocket with zipper. The jacket is very compact, it tucks away into its own chest pocket, which has a loop for hanging the jacket from a backpack. The reflective logo on the chest increases safety at night. The Houdini jacket is a comfortable, compact and lightweight full windbreaker with all the features you need.
