sunbigI” don’t care if this was the worst neighborhood in the world (it sure ain’t the best) that ball in the sky is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen!!! Still movin” – Frank

“Ok folks, this is what’s happening…we are behind schedule and really need to get to Boston and run the course on time because FirstGiving has scheduled some nice things for us and we have interviews etc. This has become SO HUGE, that time has become much more critical…more so than we thought. But even more important is that we’re going to meet Jeff Bauman personally Sat afternoon, and us arriving in Boston at midnight (or Sun) isn’t going to work!

First of all, everyone here is totally WIPED and has been giving their ALL!! The crew has been working basically 24/7 too and hopping in running to give us company too. Ben for example, spent 11 straight hours behind the wheel last night and through my marathon that ended this morning! I could go on but I’ve been so out of it and literally delirious, I’m not even sure what each has done! Every time it’s my time to run, they pretty much point me in the direction and I run…much of the time I have NO idea where I am, other than seeing road signs…then I arrive back at the RV half dead, lay down and try and recover before I have to do it all over again…same w Matt. So I didn’t realize we were still behind…and haven’t realized much of anything for 3 days, other than to put one foot in front of the other!!

When I finished my 6th one this morning, the guys apparently were discussing some tough decisions about having to hop in the RV and drive up ahead some, because we were going to miss our rendezvous time w the RI police dept tonight for our escort. BUT instead of doing that, and in order to “keep our boots on the ground” to cover as much distance as we can…what we decided to do is spread out and do some running at the same time! It’s totally crazy and a little scary actually, but Matt is now running an unsupported marathon while Todd and Brad knock of some smaller distances at the same time behind..to cover the distance. So basically we drove Matt up and dropped him off to run 26.2 (and pray he doesn’t get lost because he has no chase vehicle) and Brad and Todd are running the distance we drove up. One of them has the Jeep chase vehicle with them (I don’t know which one) and the other is also solo! The reason I don’t even know is because we’re all out of clothes and I just woke up in RV at a laundromat while Dennis tries to do a quick load, and Ben finally passed out!!ha I’ve personally soaked through w sweat about a dozen shirts and all my shorts…and pretty much the same for the guys too! So I’m just piecing this together a bit from a couple phone calls that started something like this “hey, where the f*** am I, and where the f*** is everyone?” To which the answer was “I have no fn idea, I’m fn running!”ha

So the downside is that Matt and I are giving up a little bit more miles (but believe me, I’m not THAT bummed..HA) but now at least the other guys that have done SOOO much, are getting to jump in and originate miles for this cause and know that they didn’t just help us MASSIVELY by just supporting us, but ran some solo and have miles under their names…and I actually think that’s cool now! I’m still going to TRY and get 2 more marathons in (8!!) before this EEEEEEPIC journey is complete!!!! Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop!! Just know this was probably 10 times harder than we all thought and we’re all leaving NOTHING in the tank!! But this really isn’t about us running ever single step, but really just about doing our best to inspire folks to want to help!! I think we’re doing that, and we’re coming pretty damn close to running all of DC2BOSTON!!” – Frank

“#6 marathon is fn DONE!! Ran from 12:45am to 6:15am. These tired and PISSED off legs of mine have now hoofed it 157.2 miles and I feel every one of those! Made it to the RV totally and utterly spent AGAIN…can’t even bend over without my abs seizing up. My heels are on fire…and my outer hips felt like they were about to explode…but the good news is that my stomach was a lot better and looks like that pizza saved me. It’s still not 100% but I was able to tolerate more calories which helped a lot! The only thing worse than running 150 miles, is 150 miles with NO energy!!

My buddy Joel Gat ran the whole thing w me and we did it in about 5:30 but if you subtract all the stops (getting lost), we actually had a pretty respectable clip going on most of the time!

We’re behind schedule and going to have to make more changes on the fly here but I’m just to wiped out to explain it now…gotta lay down first…will explain more later

Please try and donate or share if you can…we had an error on one donation and so our total dropped 5K so now we’re almost at $65,000…still AMAZING, but we have over $13,000 to go to reach $78,600!! PLEASE help us help Jeff and the Richards! I am giving EVERY fiber of everything I have…and then some! Spread the word!!” – Frank
