So with the first day of running down Frank and Matt are cruising along to both their goal of running to Boston and raising over $78k for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Here are some highlights:

“day 1 down… I’m not even sure how many miles they knocked out, but I saw that they raised almost $10,000 in 1 day. They are now at $64,000 – amazing!!!!!

“You know it’s gettin real, when you make it to the RV parked ahead, and everyone is asleep and nobody gets up to greet you!! ha classic (I don’t blame them) They’re all thinking “maybe if we just keep our eyes closed, he’ll just run away!!” ha” – Frank

“Well it’s 3:07am and its my turn…lovely. I’ve spent the last couple hours trying to think of every mental angle around this next one, to convince myself it’s no big deal…but I’ve come to the conclusion that its going to SUCK!!! Not sure exactly why I feel so shity after “only” 52.4 miles but kind of hurting, and worse…nauseous. So gonna have to skip the sports drink and just go with water and try to slog this bastard out until the sun comes up…and hope I start to rebound out there! THIS is when this thing starts..not when its nice and sunny, people are cheering, and police are with us. Going out solo…just me and the pavement, dark, and foggy…oh boy, I’m kinda DREADING this one!! ” – Frank
