Our Running Warehouse Picks of The Week (5/3/2024)

Intro

We’re back in the office after quite a bit of traveling, but things might look a little different for the next podcast. Our beloved headquarters is getting a facelift to make life a little easier, and that means videos and podcasts from the comfort of home — feels like the pandemic, eh? Anyway, one thing that isn’t changing is our Running Warehouse picks of the week.

There’s a little bit of everything going on this week, including some options for both roads and trails. Some shoes, some not-shoes, but all of it is available at Running Warehouse. No matter what we end up choosing, there’s always something to pick up. Our goal is to provide a few new selections each week, so check back real soon if you’re not into this week’s options.

Women’s Salomon Sense Aero Shorts

It’s getting hot out, which means the only way to properly start our Running Warehouse picks of the week is with a pair of shorts. Salomon’s Sense Aero Shorts are a good jumping-in point, too, thanks to their minimalistic cut and 3-inch inseam. Despite the limited length, they have plenty of storage with a drop-in front pocket that’s a whopping 8 inches wide. Oh, and Salomon’s 37.5 technology dries five times faster than similar fabrics, if you believe it.

Men’s Saucony Triumph 22

Here it is, at last, Saucony’s updated Triumph 22. The high-stacked companion to the Ride just keeps getting better feeling (and better looking), this time with a plush bed of PwrRun PB and a full-length XT-900 rubber outsole. We haven’t actually gotten our pairs in the office quite yet, but you can bet that when we do, we’ll get the review out in a hurry. Anyway, Saucony has plenty of colorways to check out at Running Warehouse, too.

Women’s Altra Experience Flow

It still feels wrong to say out loud, but Altra shoes come with a heel-toe drop now. Well, at least a few of them do. The company kicked it off with the Altra FWD Experience before quickly expanding to the Experience Form and Experience Flow, the latter of which we’ve picked here. I’ll be honest: combining Altra’s Standard footshape with a 4 mm drop is enticing, even if it comes at the cost of what the company was founded on.

Men’s Saucony Stopwatch Short Sleeve

It would be pretty easy to sit here and pick out another fancy, expensive launch from Running Warehouse, but sometimes it’s nice to go for a style pick instead. That’s exactly what Saucony’s Stopwatch Short Sleeve is — a t-shirt with a retro-inspired design. Saucony should really use its winged foot logo on more things, it’s a pretty slick design. Anyway, you might want this one for the gym more than for summer miles, but that’s just a thought.

Women’s Nike Aeroswift ADV Crop Tank

Nike’s Aeroswift collection isn’t exactly cheap. We’ll readily admit that. However, there’s a reason for the cost, and that reason is the Aeroswift fabric is so damn good. This ADV Crop Tank matches the Aeroswift shorts perfectly with the same ruffled texture across the fabric and a white colorway that should stay nice and cool all summer long. Just don’t blame us if you sweat through it.

Men’s Under Armour We Run Short

We started with running shorts, so we’ll end with them, too. Under Armour’s We Run Short is a pretty straightforward silhouette with four-way stretch material, reflective logos on the front and back, and an all-over pattern that we can’t quite make sense of. Anyway, the 2-inch shorts come in either black or white, so they can match just about anything in your closet.
