Adidas Reveals 2025 Boston Marathon Celebration Jacket

Everyone knows you run the Boston Marathon for two things: the medal and the jacket. Also, the personal sense of reward and accomplishment, but only two of these things you can wear, and only one of those things you can wear for more than one day. That thing, of course, is the Boston Marathon celebration jacket. 

And this year, you can ask for it for Christmas, as Adidas and the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) have just revealed the design for the 2025 Boston Marathon, available for purchase on December 5 at adidas.com.

The newest edition plays the blue notes, playing with a new interpretation of the traditional Boston Blue, the primary color for the Boston Marathon branding and the hottest hue in run apparel at the moment. A quick hit of three stripes on the sleeves gives the jacket an iconic Adidas look, while the right side of the chest features the Three-Bar logo and the left side embraces the standard Boston Marathon logo. The rear of the jacket features a large version of the logo, the bottom third of which makes it abundantly clear that Bank of America is the title sponsor, in case anyone was unclear about that.

The mantra for this year’s race is “Boston Is My Victory,” acknowledging that no two journeys to Boston are the same, and yet each one is meant to be celebrated. According to Jennifer Thomas, Vice President of Global Sports Marketing at Adidas, the mantra “serves as a reminder that [each runner’s] race is truly a victory, no matter the outcome.” 

As the Official Footwear and Apparel Supplier of the Boston Marathon since 1989, Adidas holds onto a proud heritage of celebrating the over 1 million finishers since the partnership began. This year, Adidas will also provide specially designed volunteer jackets to nearly 10,000 volunteers and official Boston Marathon participant t-shirts to roughly 30,000 runners.

The Boston Marathon Celebration Jacket can be purchased for $120 starting December 5 at adidas.com, as well as additional apparel and accessories. The full range of performance apparel will also be available at the Boston Marathon Expo ahead of Marathon Monday on April 21, online at adidas.com, and at select local retailers.
