Reebok Boston Track Club Apparel Review

Just in time for the hot summer months, the Reebok Boston Track Club kit is a light and airy set of running apparel endorsed by the Boston Track Club, a pro running club that competes in elite competitions around the world and inspires new Reebok product.

Track Club Singlet

My favorite piece of apparel in the whole set, the singlet is a basic crewneck tank with racer back. It features mesh inserts with flatlock seams for a streamlined fit. The breathability of this singlet can’t be understated; it feels as close as you can get to wearing nothing.

I actually just wore this for the first half of a hot and humid 50-mile race and loved every second of it. And at $40, it comes way below the cost of other performance clothing (ahem, Nike).

Track Club 3″ Split Short

I’m not a professional racer, or track star, or someone who has come to embrace his chalk-white thighs to the fullest extent. So I generally stay at the 5” range for my running shorts. If I were to hike up that hem a bit, I wouldn’t mind picking up a couple pairs of these at $35 each.

As any 3” short should be, they’re quick-drying and breathable with a built-in mesh brief. Pretty standard stuff. Added comfort comes from a luxurious softly-brushed waistband interior, something I hadn’t experienced before, but now wish I could all the time.

The short also comes with an interior pocket for key storage.

Track Club Jacket

The half-zip jacket completes the ensemble, providing an extra layer for those fall mornings or after-workout cooldowns. The jacket is made of a stretch-like material (87% polyester/13% spandex), and offers a mesh back panel for increased airflow. Two zippered hand pockets with mesh material are enough room for any small items you need to carry. Reflective elements and taped seams complete the design.

I didn’t love the fit of this, it was just a little too loose for me. I get it if the jacket is designed just as something to wear to the track before and after a workout; for that usage it serves its purpose. But if you want a jacket to transition between athletic endeavors and everyday life, I’d look elsewhere.

That said, if you need it to complete the uni, you can pick it up for $70 using the shop link below.
