Gear of the Week: December 7-13

Each week at BITR, we compile the latest and greatest gear from Running Warehouse and bring you our favorite pieces of the week. Everything from tights to singlets to hats to a new colorway of a favorite shoe, this list provides our very own recommendations for all your running needs. Some we’ve reviewed, some we haven’t, but basically this is the stuff we’d want to buy if we had an unlimited budget. (Note: We do get affiliate revenue from Running Warehouse, so thanks for keeping us going.)

Adidas Adizero Adios Pro (Unisex)

Literally the exact same shoe that just took down the World Record for the Half Marathon this past weekend in Valencia. Now available in the same colorway that Kibiwott Kandie wore as he carved out his 57:32. If you want to read more about it, check out our review. Otherwise, pick up this elite racer that features a Lightstrike Pro midsole, metatarsal rods (instead of a plate), ultralight upper. (Plus, it’s $75 cheaper than the Alphafly).

PRICE: $200

Brooks Revel 4 Holiday Edition (Women’s)

An ugly year deserves an ugly sweater. Brooks has always been known for throwing done some solid ugly sweater Christmas shoes, and this year is no different. The Revel 4 gets the treatment this year (which, by the way, is one of our favorite Brooks shoes). Pick it up and be merry on those cold December runs.

Vuori The Rise The Shine Hat (Unisex)

running warehouse

Vuori is continuing to make themselves known as a presence in the running world. Their high-quality apparel and gear have vaulted them into the Tracksmith stratosphere of boutique running apparel that performs just as well as it looks. This hat is no different. A cool path design on the front in a heather grey color creates a suave running hat, which is not something anyone has ever said ever about any running hat. It’s got all the style of your casual ball cap but with running features, including the adjustable back and sweat-wicking fabric.

If you couldn’t already tell, we’re fans of Vuori here at Believe in the Run. If you want a better idea of what the brand is all about, check out our review of their Fall 2020 collection here.

COROS Pace 2 GPS Watch (Unisex)

Our best budget watch of 2020, the COROS Pace 2 has been flying off the shelves because of how many features are packed into its affordable price point. With incredible battery life, light weight, and the ability to construct training plans, and record perfect readings in track mode, this is a shockingly great watch in a small package.

PRICE: $200

Nike Wild Run Miler Tank (Men’s)

Running tanks and singlets can be pretty bland, like saltine bland (unless, of course, you have a crippling addiction to sodium). Normally, only the maker’s mark appears over a solid color shirt. However, Nike’s line of Wild Run gear is pretty flashy compared to your average running kit, and this tank is no exception. The diamond graphic with ‘RUN’ inside is a cool design while a *somewhat corny* message adorns the back akin to those cross country or track t-shirts from high school. That tiny sprinkling of nostalgia makes this a solid piece to have as part of a go-to kit.

PRICE: $39.95

Nike Holiday Element Trail Half-Zip (Women’s)

Another piece of Nike apparel, but they just make good looking stuff. This half-zip isn’t revolutionary by any means, it’s standard Nike quality. But the trail design is sharp, especially the ‘Nike Trail’ logo on the chest. The Claystone Red color is badass too.

A simple but solid offering from the biggest brand in the land. Nike has recently started to put greater emphasis on its trail line, and this is a step in the right direction. The half-zip is a classic running staple for the crisp months of winter, and this one’s got a bit more style than most out there.

PRICE: $69.95

rabbit Utili Bra-vo (Women’s)

The name is crazy, but so is the simple design of this sports bra. With compression and encapsulation v-neck, it keeps everything in place, and even offers phone storage in the back. Also features rabbitMESH lining and flatlock seams for a zero-chafing experience. This was actually sold out for awhile last year, so get it now in three new colorways. (FWIW, my wife has it and she loves it).

PRICE: $50
